The Indian Myna or common myna is native to India, Asia and the Middle East. It is a medium sized bird with a yellow bill and legs, brown and black feathers. They were released in australia in the 1860s to control pests in Victoria's market gardens. They are invasive and compete with native wildlife for food and nesting material. This bird is NOT a prohibited or restricted species. The indian myna is a member of the starling family and not related to the native or noisy miner which is a member of the honeyeater family.

the Australian Pied Oystercatcher is found in coastal areas of Australia. The white breast and belly distinguish this oystercatcher from its cousin the sooty oystercatcher which is all black. They inhabit mudflats, sandbanks and sandy ocean beaches and are rarely seen along rocky coastlines. It is seldom seen far from the coast. They eat sandworms, molluscs, crabs and insects. They probe in the mud with their long bill.
