Osprey House is open to the public Monday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 04:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

The boardwalks, BBQ and Picnic facilities are accessible at any time.

Please note that from Monday 31st October the BBQ & Picnic areas are closed for renovation, they should re-open early in 2012.

At Osprey House Environmental Centre;

  • watch Osprey's nesting and raising their young.
  • observe & understand native & migratory birds and their behaviours.
  • watch wild koala's in their natural habitat & learn about local fauna.
  • learn why we need to protect the mangroves and other flora.
  • find out about the use of sustainable practices at home.

Osprey House Environmental Centre provides a more protected and natural enviroment for local fauna, is owned by Moreton Bay Regional Council and operated by trained and enthusiastic volunteers.

Situated within the Hays Inlet declared Fish Habitat Area, an integral part of the East Asian-Australasian Flyway.

Regular educational programs are provided for all levels - Prep, Primary and High School.

Visitor Look & Learn Programs are run, as required, for individuals and groups, from children to Seniors.
